Our Level 3 courses listed below are accredited by YMCA Awards (previously CYQ) and are recognised by the Register of Exercise Professionals, therefore we offer you the highest standards of Pilates teacher training. We also provide one day CPD courses.

All our courses are extremely comprehensive in nature and are structured on informative face-to-face teaching. Throughout your study, you will receive excellent tutor support both in the classroom and during your home study period.

Course fees include all the relevant comprehensive course materials, exercise and fitness knowledge books, course manuals, instructional DVDs and Pilates books required to complete your training. The fees also include all your assessment fees and certification fees.

All prices are also inclusive of VAT. We promise that there are no hidden extras!

Course Info:
This course is direct access, no previous qualifications are necessary. Learning materials for Anatomy and Physiology are provided prior to the course for home study. It is divided into 2 stages, both of which must be completed to gain the full award.

The course is 10 days in total (the course counts as a part time course for the days attended). The hours are 10.00am–4.30pm daily. There is an amount of pre-course study of Anatomy & Physiology, and Principles & Practise of Health & Fitness. These relate to your theory exams on Assessment Day 1 and the final day of stage 2. All materials are sent to you on application with tutor support available from this time.

Level 3 – Assessment:

Unit 1: Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health
Assessment 1: Externally set multiple-choice theory paper. 60 minutes.

Unit 2: Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
Assessment 2: Worksheet completed as part of the course.

Unit 3: Principles of exercise, fitness and health
Assessment 3 :Externally set multiple-choice theory paper. 60 minutes.

Unit 4: Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
Assessment 4: Worksheet completed as part of the course.

Unit 5: Programming a Pilates teaching session
Assessment 5 – Worksheets completed as part of the course:
1) Fundamentals of Pilates
2) The original exercises, adaptations and modifications
Assessment 6 – Client profile, progressive programme and viva
Assessment 7 – Planning

Unit 6: Delivering a Pilates teaching session
Assessment 8 – Summative observation and practical teaching
Assessment 9 – Evaluation

 

PLEASE NOTE:

If you already hold the OCR Level 2 Pilates qualification, you need only to attend stage 2 of the course to compete the full Level 3.

Credit transfer - units from other QCF qualifications
Several of the units in the L3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates are also components of other qualifications. Where learners have already achieved these units, credit will be transferred to the L3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates and there is no need to repeat the learning or assessment of these units (details below:.

Course Info:
This course is aimed at people who hold a Pilates Matwork qualification.

The PTS Certification runs over 4 days, with an additional assessment day. It is run with a maximum of 4 people only, so you are ensured of the utmost guidance and support by your tutor.

Students will learn howto use the Reformer, Trapeze, Wunda Chair, Arc Barrel .

Please note: An additional one day is required to attain the small equipment part of the course.

NB: This course is taught in Staines, Middlesex. Exact details to be advised on booking.

Course Info:
This course is aimed at those who have completed comprehensive training with companies who do not offer an awarding body accreditation.

As from 2010 ALL Pilates Training companies had to become accredited with YMCA Awards (CYQ) or OCR. These are the only recognised awarding bodies for Pilates qualifications in the UK.

This course enables you to complete the assessments for YMCA Awards (CYQ) level 3 Pilates Matwork (regardless of who you trained with) without attending the whole course. The requirements of the qualification are covered and an explanation of how to complete the work in preparation for assessment.

 

Credit transfer – units from other QCF qualifications
Several of the units in the L3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates are also components of other qualifications.
